Works from The Veiled Self
The works presented here are part of my ongoing series The Veiled Self, in which I explore how identity is formed, revealed and quietly concealed within sculptural forms enclosed in plexiglass.
What began as an investigation into cultural icons and idealised beauty gradually evolved into a more intimate reflection on presence, absence and projection. Each sculpture balances refinement with a subtle sense of tension.
Every piece is entirely handmade in my studio in The Hague. Within each work, a genuine freshwater pearl is carefully placed as a discreet signature and as a personal ode to my mother.
All works are unique.
